Is there a free version of WeWake?

No. Every wake-up mission requires a Premium or Family subscription. Solo plans include a 3-day free trial; Family is pay-upfront with no trial.

What data does WeWake collect from my child?

A child joins with a 6-digit code or QR scan generated by a parent — no name, email, or login is ever collected from them. The only data that leaves their device is their wake-up status (Verified, Counted anyway, or Missed) and, if a parent records one, a voice clip for their alarm.

Does WeWake ever see my camera or microphone data?

No. The Photo, Make Bed, Affirmation, and Face Check missions process every frame on-device. Nothing is ever uploaded, stored after the session ends, or used to identify who you are.

What is Face Check?

A blink-detection liveness check that confirms a real, awake face is holding the phone — not a phone left on a nightstand. It never stores or matches a face, only a live blink transition.

Will the alarm ring if my phone is on silent or Do Not Disturb?

WeWake is built on Apple's AlarmKit, designed to sound through Silent Mode and most Focus settings at the system level — the same way the built-in Clock app does.

Overview

This policy covers the WeWake app for iOS, published by Docusmarter. It describes what we collect from a parent using WeWake, what we collect (and deliberately don't collect) from a paired child, and how that information is used.

What we never collect

Camera frames or photos — the Photo, Make Bed, and Face Check missions process every frame on-device and never transmit or store it.
Voice audio from the Affirmation mission — matched on-device, never uploaded.
Precise or coarse location.
Advertising identifiers. WeWake has no ad SDK and does not sell or share data for advertising.
Any name, email, or login from a child's device.

Children's privacy

WeWake is a general-audience app used directly by adults; the Family Package lets a parent extend it to a child's device. A child cannot sign up independently — joining requires a short-lived code or QR scan that only a parent, already using the app, can generate. A parent must explicitly consent before a family is created. A parent can unpair a child at any time, which deletes that child's assigned alarms, wake-proof history, and account link.

How we use information

Strictly for app functionality: authenticating a parent, delivering alarms and status notifications between paired devices, showing a parent their family's wake-up history, and processing subscriptions. We do not use any of it for advertising, profiling, or resale.

Third-party services

WeWake runs on Firebase (Google Cloud) for authentication, data storage, and push delivery, and on Apple's App Store for payment processing. Neither is used for advertising.

Data retention & your rights

Unpairing a child deletes their assigned alarms, wake-proof history, and stored voice clips. To request access to or deletion of any data tied to your account, email us — we respond to every request personally.

Subscriptions & terms

Subscriptions are billed and managed through the Apple App Store — auto-renewing, cancel anytime from your device's Subscriptions settings. Use of the app is otherwise governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Material changes affecting how a child's data is handled will be surfaced in-app to the parent account, not just posted here.
